Windows 10 won’t run games that employ SafeDisc or certain versions of Securom DRM, rendering hundreds of old disc-based games potentially unplayable without complex workarounds. Games which used these forms of DRM range from Crimson Skies to Grand Theft Auto 3, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 to the original The Sims. Aug 07, 2015  I have Civ 4 BYS working in Windows 10 64bit (from my 'Games for Windows' Vista compatible Civ 4 Complete DVD) without compatibility settings and I can run it without admin permissions. I just had to install patch 3.19, no previous patches need to be installed first. 3. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
4. Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.
5. Try installing the game and check.

I have Civ4 complete on a disc and get the same message. I tried to install from the disc but cannot do so as I get the 'sign in as administrator' message. Please advise.

This has not worked for me. I also have Civ 4 on a disk for which I have paid. I don't propose to go and buy the game again from the website. Your instructions above do not work for installation from the disk, so how about the thinking caps go back on for a bit longer ?

The retail version of Civ 4 uses an unsupported DRM and as such won't work on Win 10 because of that.

This worked for me. They emailed me the same day and provided a Steam key at no charge. Thanks for the suggestion.

You can get rid of it if you use tag in your HTML document header. So your browser will concatenate given relative path to this base path and will make a complete URL. ExampleFollowing example makes use of tag to specify base URL and later we can use relative path to all the links instead of giving complete URL for every link. Html link to open pdf. This tag is used to give a base path for all the links.

I contacted them via their website. I went to the support section and filled in all of the appropriate information in all of the input boxes and received a reply within a few hours. Great service from 2K!

I googled 2k and sent an message on a 2k support page.

Sending an email would work also, they make sure its forwarded correctly internally.
